DOCS / GETTING STARTED

Launch JetEncode on AWS

JetEncode is delivered as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI), with the software already installed. Subscribe in AWS Marketplace, configure an EC2 instance, and launch it in your own AWS account.

AWS pricingJetEncode has a $0 software charge. AWS still bills your account for EC2, EBS, data transfer, and other services you use.

Before you start

  • An AWS account with permission to subscribe to Marketplace products.
  • Permission to launch and configure EC2 resources in your chosen Region.
  • A VPC, subnet, and security group appropriate for your environment.
  • A short, non-sensitive video file for your first test.

Launch in five steps

  1. 1

    Find JetEncode in AWS Marketplace

Sign in to the AWS account where you want JetEncode to run, open AWS Marketplace, and search for JetEncode.

  2. 2

    Accept the free software terms

Open the JetEncode listing and choose View purchase options or Continue to Subscribe. The JetEncode software charge is $0; your normal AWS infrastructure charges still apply.

  3. 3

    Configure the AMI

Choose a supported software version, AWS Region, and EC2 launch method. Use the instance guidance and network ports shown on the Marketplace listing.

  4. 4

    Launch in your AWS account

Review the EC2 instance, storage, key pair, IAM, and security-group settings before launch. Keep access limited to the people and systems that need it.

  5. 5

Open JetEncode and run a test job

After the instance passes its AWS status checks, follow the connection instructions on the listing. Start with a short source video and verify the output before moving a production workload.

Your first successful run

Confirm that JetEncode can read the source, complete the transcode, and write the output where you expect it. Then review your AWS monitoring, access controls, storage, and retention settings before adding production media.
